About the role

  • Strategic and operational leadership of the entire communications function at Bundesverbraucherhilfe.
  • Development and implementation of a consistent communications strategy for internal and external audiences.
  • Management of the Brand & Media Design, Strategic Communications, and Editorial departments.
  • Responsibility for the quality, coherence and impact of all communications measures at national and European levels.
  • Close collaboration with the Presidium (executive board) and other departments to align political and societal messaging.
  • Oversight of media relations, press activities and social media strategies.
  • Promotion of clear, credible, and brand-focused communication that strengthens Bundesverbraucherhilfe’s position as a leading consumer organization.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in communications, media management, marketing or a comparable field.
  • Several years of experience in a senior communications role, ideally within associations, media organizations or public institutions.
  • Solid expertise in strategic communication, brand management and public relations.
  • Excellent writing skills, linguistic precision and a good sense for tone and target audiences.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and managing complex communications projects.
  • Creativity, strategic thinking and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Willingness to work remotely and flexibly in a voluntary capacity.
