About the role

  • Strategically advance the Bundesdruckerei Group’s SEO positioning to sustainably increase the visibility and reach of the corporate websites
  • Independently develop and implement a holistic SEO strategy, including defining and documenting strategic principles and guidelines, methods, policies and standards in the SEO context
  • Identify and prioritize SEO-relevant optimization opportunities and plan and implement measures across all relevant SEO areas (Onsite, Content, Link Building, Technical SEO)
  • Conduct data-driven analysis and performance measurement of SEO activities, including opportunity analyses, content audits and keyword research, and derive concrete recommendations for action
  • Manage and further develop the SEO process and document SEO requirements, standards and best practices for the team
  • Manage the content creation process in close coordination with corporate communications teams and business units; oversee external service providers and provide professional guidance to working students
  • Lead, implement and manage complex, cross-departmental projects in external communications

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Informatics, Public Relations, Journalism, Communication/Media Studies, Media and Communication, Business Administration (BWL), Political Science, or a comparable field
  • Many years of relevant professional experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including the development of strategic SEO concepts, identification of relevant keywords and text optimization
  • Proficiency with common SEO tools such as Sistrix, Google Search Console or TermLabs, and knowledge of Google’s ranking factors and upcoming Google updates
  • Experience in content marketing and the ability to independently implement and coordinate various target-group-specific content formats, including format definition, creation of briefs for content production, editing and visualization
  • Very good understanding of the relationships between content, technology and usability
  • Strong writing skills and experience producing orthographically and grammatically correct content, plus excellent German language skills, both written and spoken (German at minimum C2 level)
