About the role

  • Monitor supported IT services to ensure agreed system availability, providing proactive fault resolution and prevention within a 24x7 operating model (Operations Center/Control Center)
  • Ensure stable, uninterrupted system operation with a high level of protection
  • Implement best-practice guidelines and execute playbooks within the area of responsibility
  • Perform change management for deployed software and hardware systems
  • Document incidents and forward them to the appropriate IT support teams

Requirements

  • Completed vocational IT training (e.g., as an IT Specialist), or alternatively relevant professional experience in the described area or a career changer after IT retraining
  • Initial professional experience securing complex IT infrastructures and in the provisioning and operation of Linux systems
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring tools and their use in heterogeneous infrastructures
  • Ideally experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience in regulated environments and corresponding certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI C5 or similar) desirable
  • Team player with an openness to new technologies and projects and enthusiasm for using open source tools
