About the role

  • Coordinate and organize the Bundesdruckerei Group's newsroom and ensure smooth daily editorial operations
  • Serve as the central point of contact for publications and new topics in the newsroom
  • Plan, manage and prioritize topics based on strategic objectives, and develop and define KPIs to measure success
  • Lead and facilitate meetings and manage external service providers
  • Strategically further develop and expand the Bundesdruckerei Group's newsroom concept
  • Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of projects through to their management and implementation, including budget planning and monitoring
  • Work closely with all corporate communications departments as well as specialist divisions, business units and partners

Requirements

  • Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communication/Media Studies, Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable field
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in communications, preferably with a focus on technology and digitalization topics
  • Extensive knowledge of the media and communications landscape and ideally experience working in a newsroom
  • Cross-disciplinary understanding of business processes and requirements, with a clear strategic focus in project implementation
  • Self-directed, well-organized and reliable working style, with a systematic-methodical approach and result- and goal-oriented mindset
  • Operational decision-making, assertiveness and implementation skills, with a confident presence and experience working across different hierarchical levels
  • Initiative, motivation, customer- and service-orientation, communication and interpersonal skills (German language proficiency at least C1 level), as well as ability to collaborate and strong team spirit
