About the role
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend services that solve real customer problems
- Collaborate with Product Managers by actively participating in problem discovery and solution creation leveraging technical expertise
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth delivery of new features and improvements
- Maximize your team’s output by enhancing functionality and proactively addressing technical debt
- Actively contribute to improving collaboration and communication
- Build high-impact technology that powers bunch and influence the product roadmap
Requirements
- Combine a passion for technology with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Proficient in backend development with TypeScript or any strongly typed language, SQL databases, Nest.js or similar web/dependency management frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core)
- Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability, and performance tuning
- 3+ years of professional experience building backend systems in fast-paced environments
- Experience with fintech, highly regulated industries, or document processing is a plus
- Legal right to work in the European Union (application asks for this)
- Residing in Berlin or open to relocating to Berlin (application asks about Berlin residency/relocation)
