About the role

Ensure engineering output delivers tangible value and full accountability for delivered solutions
Provide technical and architectural direction and manage architecture and tech debt
Collaborate with Product Management on problem discovery and solution creation
Own capacity management and planning for the team
Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of new features and improvements
Grow the engineering team and ensure engineers' day-to-day work contributes to their growth plans
Shape the future of the tech team and build sustainable tech processes

Team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
3+ years' experience leading teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in backend development with TypeScript or any strongly typed language
Experience with SQL databases
Experience with Nest.js or similar web/dependency management frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core)
Experience with Svelte or similar front-end development tools
Experience with private markets, fintech, highly regulated industries, or document processing is a plus
Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability, and performance tuning
Entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills

Residing in Berlin or open to relocating to Berlin (application form asks)
