Principal Product Manager – Bumble Date
Bumble Inc.Staff Product Manager at Bumble spearheading AI-driven coaching features for user experience improvement. Collaborating with teams to develop transformative solutions aligning with Bumble's mission.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and drive the strategic roadmap for Bumble Date, translating long-term vision into clear, prioritized product outcomes - measurable changes in member behavior, and holding the team to those outcomes through delivery
- Bring together Engineering, Design, and Data into a cohesive product development approach, ensuring alignment from discovery through to delivery while role-modeling collaboration with purpose
- Run continuous discovery as a weekly habit - sustained customer contact, opportunity mapping, and assumption testing - to identify and prioritize the unmet needs that most move connection quality, safety, and engagement
- Tackle the four product risks - value, usability, feasibility, and viability - early and cheaply, using prototypes and lightweight tests before committing engineering capacity
- Use AI as a core part of your product craft — prototyping concepts, generating hypotheses, synthesizing research, and drafting artifacts — while applying judgment around user trust, fairness, and transparency
- Embed AI into product development workflows - from generating hypotheses and drafting product requirements to synthesizing insights and iterating on solutions - while applying thoughtful judgment and care
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders to influence product direction, balancing user needs, commercial goals, and platform integrity with a strong sense of ownership
- Drive cross-functional execution with an agile mindset, adapting plans based on learning and ensuring delivery of high-quality experiences at pace
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep experience in product management, ideally within consumer technology or marketplace environments, with a track record of owning complex, high-impact product areas
- Typically requires 10+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills
- Proven ability to define product strategy and translate it into execution, working cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes and see things through from insight to impact
- Strong product craft across discovery, experimentation, and delivery - including experience with A/B testing frameworks, user research, and data-informed decision-making
- AI-native in your practice: you have rebuilt how you do PM work with AI at the core, expanding what one PM can prototype, test, and ship - and you help others adopt these habits
- Comfortable expanding beyond traditional PM boundaries - for example, creating prototypes, drafting technical or design artifacts, or accelerating workflows through AI-enabled tools
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, take ownership, and collaborate effectively across disciplines
