About the role

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions across CPQ, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Service Cloud Voice and Experience Cloud.
  • Design and implement custom Apex code, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations using Salesforce APIs, leveraging AI tools (Agentforce Vibes/Claude) to enhance productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and deploy AI-powered experiences using Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, and other AI tools to enhance user productivity, automate routine tasks, and deliver smarter customer interactions.
  • Participate in the Change Control Board and review tickets to ensure work items are well-defined, business objectives are clearly communicated, identify risks early, provide practical mitigation strategies and design considerations in advance of refinement.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Product Owner to manage refined backlog and assign work to developers based capacity, skillset and reduction of component overlap.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide code reviews, best practices, and architectural guidance.
  • Review third party vendors design documentation to ensure scalability of proposed solutions and identify impact to ongoing work by the internal development team.
  • Review and resolve code conflicts during deployments across environments.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools) and ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new AI capabilities, and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Strong development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce Flows
  • Proven experience integrating with RESTful APIs and external systems
  • Experience with Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, Einstein Bots, or other AI/ML tools within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Experience designing scalable Salesforce solutions for internal business systems, balancing technical excellence with practical business outcomes
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data model design and platform governance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, agile delivery team
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of business processes in sales, customer experience, finance and marketing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Passion for mentoring developers and improving engineering practices.
  • Bonus Points for Experience with Workato or similar integration tools
  • Experience with Own Backup tool or similar backup tools
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud
  • Salesforce Platform Developer or Application Architect certifications
  • Understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud and its role in AI-driven insights
