About the role
- Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of business critical products and solutions for Bullhorn’s production environment.
- Install, design, and maintain database system software and implement database security.
- Monitor and analyze database performance, identify performance bottlenecks.
- Work with development teams to tune and optimize queries.
- Develop, implement, and test database backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
- Create and maintain documentation for SQL database policies, procedures, and processes.
- Provide technical leadership on database implementation and/or database-related deployments.
- Troubleshoot performance and non-performance related issues.
- Manage technology projects from initiation to completion.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology\Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 5-7+ total years of experience with database administration with a focus on MS SQL Server 2016-2022
- 3-5 years of experience with MySQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Extensive experience with query tuning and database performance optimization
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Azure PaaS SQL offerings
- Experience in SQL Server High Availability, Log Shipping and Replication
- Experience in automation and managing large database environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting
- Strong communication and writing skills to manage stakeholder relationships in a challenging & high-pressure environment.
