About the role
- Originate and submit loan requests for approval; present loan requests to Live Loan Review Committee as needed.
- Engage assigned accounts and prospects to convert leads to applications and closed loans.
- Assist in onboarding and training of new Strategic Accounts on loan products and Builders Capital proprietary software.
- Implement Strategic Accounts sales strategy; explain Builders Capital products and services to persuade business.
- Provide accurate and detailed loan sheets and deal structures; work closely with manager and stakeholders.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for additional Builders Capital products.
- Actively and accurately track account and customer engagement and communications in CRM system.
- Assist in coordination of the credit approval process for loans; comply with internal policies and procedures.
- Interface with operational departments to maintain client communication, continuity, and customer service.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure all appropriate borrower information received.
- Coordinate activities, workstreams, and resources; keep others informed on status or issues.
- Monitor funded loan portfolio identifying future opportunities and management of troubled accounts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in loan origination, commercial lending, or financial services.
- Experience working with strategic or high-value accounts is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting processes, and credit approval requirements.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across departments, and maintain attention to detail.
- Willingness to monitor active loan portfolios and identify business opportunities or risk indicators.
- Proven ability to convert leads to applications and closed deals.
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills focused on customer service and retention.
- Skilled in identifying cross-selling opportunities and providing customer insights.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and proprietary loan systems; ability to quickly learn internal platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
