Tech Stack
About the role
- Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, CTOs, and developer teams — serving as their trusted technical advisor throughout the evaluation and purchasing process
- Lead technical discovery, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and guide prospects through hands-on proof of value engagements inside their real development environments
- Advise customers on how to integrate AI-powered development into their development workflows — identifying the highest-value use cases, recommending adoption patterns, and helping cross-departmental teams understand how Builder.io can change the way they build
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and workshops tailored to both business stakeholders and highly technical audiences
- Serve as the first line of defense for security and compliance questions, guiding customers to relevant resources and escalating complex requirements to the appropriate teams
- Create and maintain internal documentation, demo guides, and enablement resources that capture common customer requirements and accelerate the team's ability to execute
- Act as the internal voice of the customer — gathering feedback from the field, identifying common themes across enterprise accounts, and partnering with Product and Engineering to continuously improve the Builder.io platform and messaging
- As an early-stage hire, bring creativity and a spirit of experimentation to all that you do — we have a working playbook and we want you to help make it better
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Solutions Consultant, or similar)
- At least 3+ years selling to Enterprise customers and managing senior technical and business relationships
- Hands-on fluency with AI tooling and the modern software development lifecycle — you don't need to be a full-time engineer, but you should be comfortable working in technical environments, understanding developer workflows, and advising on AI adoption strategies
- Experience building with or selling developer tools, AI-powered coding platforms, or technical platform products to engineering organizations
- Proficiency with modern development methodologies and frameworks (APIs, JavaScript, React, JSON) and the ability to build working prototypes or demos to validate use cases
- Strong executive presence — equally comfortable coding alongside developers as you are presenting to a CTO or VP of Engineering
- A track record of running structured POV processes: establishing clear goals and success criteria, working hands-on inside customer environments, and driving toward measurable outcomes
- Foundational understanding of IT security principles and experience supporting enterprise security and compliance requirements in a pre-sales context
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts for any audience
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Able to travel up to 25%
Benefits
- Unlimited time off. 3 weeks is the minimum that we will ask you to take each year
- Mental health days. We encourage you to take at least one per quarter to recharge

- $500 home office improvement budget. Help get what you need to be comfortable working in a digital-first environment

- Co-working space reimbursement. Work from any WeWork at anytime with an All Access pass, or reimburse up to $300/month at another local co-working space
