About the role

  • Accounts receivable in an e-commerce environment: You are responsible for posting, monitoring and reconciling revenues from our online shop and various marketplaces
  • Daily operations & data reconciliation: You ensure daily that data from the ERP/inventory system and payment service providers is complete, accurate and up to date
  • Revenue posting & monthly processes: You independently post and reconcile our revenues, analyze and resolve discrepancies
  • General ledger & financial closings: You ensure proper reconciliation of general ledger accounts, are responsible for the provisions schedule and actively participate in monthly and annual closings
  • Tax reporting: You handle VAT topics such as VAT returns, OSS (One-Stop-Shop) filings and recapitulative statements (ZM)
  • Accounts payable & team coverage: You support the posting and reconciliation of supplier invoices and purchases and provide backup/coverage within the team
  • Process optimization: You challenge existing workflows, contribute your own ideas and drive optimizations and automations

Requirements

  • Solid commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualification as a financial or certified balance sheet accountant (m/f/d)
  • Very good DATEV skills
  • Excel is not a "nice to have" but your working basis
  • Good knowledge of accounting under HGB (German Commercial Code)
  • Solid tax understanding with a focus on VAT
  • Structured, independent and conscientious working style
  • You work solution-oriented and think proactively
