About the role

  • You will work directly on the further development of our software — acting as a bridge between tax practice and product development.
  • You analyze real accounting use cases and translate them into product requirements (user stories).
  • You serve as the subject-matter contact for year-end closing processes (e.g., closing entries, provisions, accruals, fixed assets).
  • You support the design of automations and the optimization of DATEV exports, booking logic, and chart of accounts.
  • You will join a strong, subject-matter team that brings future technologies into the tax world.

Requirements

  • You are a qualified tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) with year-end closing experience — ideally with further training as a certified balance-sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or working towards it.
  • You have actively contributed to the development of a software product.
  • You have solid professional experience in financial accounting — year-end closing is part of your day-to-day work.
  • You can post accounting entries yourself and have experience with DATEV.
  • You are tech-savvy, enjoy process thinking, and have a passion for digital solutions.
  • Start-up mentality: 80/20 mindset, solution-oriented, pragmatic — no 'can't be done' attitude.
