About the role

  • You work directly on the further development of our software — acting as a bridge between tax practice and product development.
  • You analyze real-world accounting use cases and translate them into product requirements (user stories).
  • You are the technical contact for year-end closing processes (e.g., closing entries, provisions, accruals, fixed assets).
  • You support the design of automations and the optimization of DATEV exports, posting logic, and chart of accounts.
  • You will be part of a technically strong team that brings future technologies into the tax world.

Requirements

  • Qualified tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte)
  • Experience with year-end financial statements — ideally with further training as a Certified Balance Sheet Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or working toward that qualification
  • Experience actively contributing to a software product
  • Solid professional experience in financial accounting — year-end closing is part of your daily routine
  • Hands-on bookkeeping experience using DATEV
  • Technology-savvy, process-oriented, and enthusiastic about digital solutions
  • Startup mentality: 80/20 mindset, solution-focused, pragmatic, and a ‘can-do’ attitude
