About the role
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing and monitoring annual budgets and intra-year forecasts. Coordinating the process with various departments.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Creating ad-hoc analyses to support business units and executive management. Developing and tracking relevant company KPIs. Preparing and presenting financial results to different stakeholders.
- Special Projects & Analyses: Conducting complex analyses and deriving actionable measures, e.g., contribution margin analyses, customer or sales-channel profitability, omnichannel customer journeys, and internationalization analyses.
- Leading projects focused on cost optimization or efficiency improvements.
- Market analyses & participation in the development of new pricing strategies.
- Further development of controlling processes: Introducing new and improving existing controlling processes. Proactive automation using AI or new tools.
- Business partnering: Proactively advising executive management and business units on financial and economic matters. Acting as a sparring partner for all cost center managers. Supporting strategic company planning.
- Tool ownership: Responsible for our internal BI, performance marketing tool, and financial reporting tool. Ensuring data quality in the relevant tools. Implementing new reports into the existing tool landscape.
Requirements
- You have a degree in business, finance, or a related field and at least 5 years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in an e-commerce company handling large datasets, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong affinity for numbers; you can present complex topics clearly and drive decisions based on data.
- Confident user of common BI, controlling, and ERP systems as well as Google Sheets.
- You work independently, conscientiously, and proactively contribute new ideas.
- You communicate clearly, are a team player, and know how to engage a variety of stakeholders.
- You appreciate the agility and flexibility of a grown-up company and want to actively shape things rather than just maintain them.
