About the role
- Ensure all new power and cooling solutions are seamlessly integrated into BT projects.
- Be responsible to maintain and deliver solutions to enable BT Operations.
- Bring together the best networks and technology, with the expertise of our people, making connections, creating new possibilities and developing special services that our customers value.
- Utilise the range of expert skills from both BT engineers and other BT staff for successful delivery of projects.
- Engage with key customers and improving customer experience by delivering repair, provision and service availability performance with a focus on continuous improvement creating standout service.
- Manage escalations and work allocation whilst co-ordinating project delivery and working alongside the wider project team and other technical leads.
- Take ownership of requests for new projects and platform works from proposal generation and design concept through transition to in-life service ops.
- Help develop and support the pipeline of new projects and understand the impact on the workforce.
Requirements
- Be a fully qualified electrician to 18th Edition C &G 2382 and a working knowledge of HEVACOMP & CAS system
- Have the ability to read and follow detailed electrical schematic drawings as well as producing your own to a high level of detail
- Have Clerk of Works experience and proved ability of delivering construction projects
- Have experience of design, planning and installation of D.C power plant systems and power & cooling systems
- Have experience of BMS (Trend) and Environmental control systems (Scada)
- Be HV trained – AP or CP.
- Have a good working knowledge of generators, controls, air conditioning systems, Sizing, airflow etc and knowledge of UPS systems and LV and HV systems
