About the role
- The Contracting Assistant assists the Account Manager in basic payer payer contracting, negotiations, and contracting related inquiries.
- Together, they guide our clients through the payer contracting process by providing expertise in payer contract terms, fees, negotiations, and implementation to achieve the highest reimbursement fees possible.
- Just as important is the timely renewal of contracts if applicable, effective communication of contracting changes, staying on top of payer contracting trends, and achieving a high level of client satisfaction with contracting services.
- The person who serves in this role is organized, efficient, a good communicator, and meticulous with client follow-up.
Requirements
- 2-year college degree
- Two years experience in US-based medical billing practice or Two years experience in a medical practice dealing with billing including but not limited to, provider credentialing, authorizations, reimbursement, etc. preferably at least partially in Behavioral Health.
