About the role

  • Unload and process inbound orders for receipt in SAP
  • Operate forklift and pallet equipment to load/unload material
  • Inspect inbound shipments for damage and record discrepancies
  • Process and prepare orders in SAP for domestic and international shipments
  • Review, pack, and ship orders using courier systems (FedEx, UPS)
  • Pick materials for departments per pick lists and requisitions
  • Run daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory to meet accuracy objectives
  • Maintain inventory records and perform routine audits
  • Monitor and order shipping supplies
  • Communicate with other departments to support shipping and receiving needs
  • Follow departmental policies, safety, and continuous improvement objectives

Requirements

  • Ability to unload and process in-bound orders for receipt in SAP
  • Ability to operate forklift, dolly/pallet jack to load and unload material
  • Inspects inbound shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
  • Analyze, process and prepare orders in SAP for delivery to both Domestic and International destinations
  • Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment
  • Completes picking orders and material for other departments according to pick list and material requisitions, including relevant SAP transactions
  • Ability to run daily cycle count and reconciliation of material to meet inventory accuracy objectives
  • Working knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft Office-based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software e. FedEx, UPS
  • Ability to monitor, and order shipping supplies
  • Essential cross functional team work skills, to be able to communicate regularly with other departments requiring shipping assistance
  • Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methodologies
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards
  • Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift; must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs occasionally; may be asked to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally; frequent reaching, bending, stooping and kneeling; frequent handwriting onto inventory cards
