About the role

  • Field Service, System, and Applications role supporting Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Division
  • Customer direct post-sale instrumentation and application support including installation, user and application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, and post-sale application support
  • Install, qualify, troubleshoot, and qualify instruments, upgrades, and accessories
  • Work with customers to diagnose complex electro-mechanical hardware/software instrument issues and drive solutions
  • Create and maintain record of activity in support database and perform preventative maintenance
  • Teach theory of operation and train new users, demonstrate instrument ability, and provide post-sale user and application training
  • Travel domestically and internationally; work in government sites, semiconductor cleanrooms, production floors, and laboratories
  • Home office based out of the Greater Phoenix, AZ area traveling to client sites

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Technical degree; or 3 years and a Bachelor degree; or a Masters degree without experience
  • Customer focused, passionate about science and technology, and passionate to enable customers with Bruker technology
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor processing and the integral role the metrology equipment plays within the process
  • Proven understanding of engineering problem solving methods, statistical process control, and Gauge repeatability and reproducibility calculations
  • Proven experience of analytical capability, theoretical understanding of physics, working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, and common tooling such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc.
  • Proven experience, independent judgment and discretion necessary to install, qualify and be a trainer and technical resource
  • Proven experience to independently provide clear, logical, and effective communication
  • Proven experience to develop, communicate, implement, and execute assigned project including achieving required deliverables on time
  • Must have & maintain valid driver’s license
