About the role

  • Lead financial analysis and budgeting strategy for BRSi
  • Develop and execute financial improvement strategies across public and private sector projects
  • Advise the CFO and leadership team on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities
  • Coordinate and build relationships with product and project team leaders
  • Oversee day-to-day financial management and reporting functions
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting based on agreed upon metrics, including profit and loss across projects
  • Lead long-term financial forecasting and scenario planning
  • Develop annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts
  • Monitor performance against budget and provide actionable insights
  • Analyze operating expenses with focus on overhead (marketing, facilities, utilities, salaries, IT)
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements across departments
  • Develop internal controls and financial policies; help coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Build dashboards that provide leadership insight to support business growth and profitability
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in finance
  • At least 3 years in a management consulting firm
  • Strong understanding of profitability and forecasting
  • Proficiency in PowerBI and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, operations, and sales teams
  • Candidate must be within Houston or DC Metro area
