About the role
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within targeted markets.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the firm’s client portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, and project owners.
- Present the company’s services and value propositions to prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and conferences to increase visibility.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with project managers and marketing to coordinate outreach and support proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of business development/sales experience in the construction, safety, or related industry
- Proven success in generating leads, managing client relationships, and closing deals
- Strong network of contacts within the construction and industrial sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to outreach and relationship-building
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
