About the role

  • We are seeking to hire an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Scottsdale, Arizona-based Workers’ Compensation team. The candidate must handle a large volume of files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • We value a foundation in legal research, writing, and analysis with opportunities to learn, litigate, and grow; training and mentoring available; potential to serve as 2nd chair counsel.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES: Professional and effective communication with clients, insurance adjusters, judges, physicians, and team members; Independently conduct research and analyze case laws, rules, and statutes including AZ Workers’ Compensation; Understand and apply legal analysis to provide effective counsel to clients; Review and analyze medical records and discovery with legal analysis; Assist supervising attorney with litigation prep and discovery tasks.

Requirements

  • Must have a Juris Doctor degree
  • Must be licensed to practice in the state of Arizona
  • Experience in workers’ compensation/litigation experience
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience with medical terminology and language is preferred, but not required
