About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and support a diverse portfolio of specialty insurance businesses within Arrowhead Specialty
  • Partner with the Division President and profit center leaders to establish priorities and drive business and financial performance
  • Lead execution and accountability for operating plans, growth initiatives, and key business objectives
  • Integrate and optimize acquired businesses while preserving entrepreneurial culture, specialization, and local expertise
  • Develop growth plans and scalable operating models
  • Strengthen planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement across the portfolio
  • Oversee operational performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support acquisitions, carrier and capacity strategies, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with capacity providers, distribution partners, and key clients
  • Partner on capacity initiatives, data strategy, broker and distribution strategy, and technology enablement
  • Modernize platforms, improve data quality, expand automation and artificial intelligence, and implement performance-improving solutions
  • Lead organizational changes, technology implementations, and operating model evolution
  • Foster a high-performance culture and support organizational design, staffing, succession planning, recruiting, teammate development, performance management, and compensation programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in insurance, financial services, or related industries
  • Senior operational, business unit, or enterprise leadership experience
  • Experience leading decentralized organizations with multiple business models, operating companies, or geographic locations
  • Experience integrating acquired businesses and leading large-scale organizational change initiatives
  • Strong understanding of insurance distribution, delegated authority operations, underwriting, claims administration, reinsurance, captive structures, or other specialty insurance operating models
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business models, products, distribution channels, and market segments
  • Demonstrated success driving business performance and achieving financial and operational objectives in complex, multi-business organizations
  • Experience partnering with Finance, Technology, Team Resources, Compliance, Legal, and other shared services functions
