About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support retention and growth of the Small Business Unit
  • Work with insurance agents nationally to retain clients and deliver exceptional service
  • Explain policy coverage, advantages, and disadvantages
  • Address inquiries about coverage, policy changes, claims support, and billing clarifications
  • Support and lead the service team to meet yearly and monthly production goals
  • Maintain accurate activity records in the management database system
  • Establish payment arrangements and assist with premium collection
  • Review policies and quotes for accuracy before sending them to insurance agents
  • Manage retention of existing and new business using spreadsheets, company databases, and communication tools
  • Provide backup support including data entry, marketing, and quality control
  • Remain available remotely during non-scheduled hours for urgent emails and business calls
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Control guidelines
  • Liaise between carriers, clients, agents, and business partners to facilitate new business, renewals, and ongoing account service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active state insurance license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years of successful commercial property & casualty insurance experience
  • Experience with EPIC, Salesforce, or equivalent management systems
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Preferred: insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC
  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Preferred: experience in environmental insurance or wholesale brokerage
  • Typically no personal or rental vehicle required for business purposes
