About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients.
- Participation in the presentation of our services at prospect meetings.
- Bring new business prospects to closure.
- Work closely with Leader to set and achieve sales goals; and with service team to ensure the delivery of services.
- Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
- Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by telephone calls, writing letters, or making personal visits.
- Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and projects assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience at an insurance brokerage preferred
- Additional insurance education is a plus
- A current Life and Health and/or licensed as a Producer of Property and Casualty in an applicable state must be maintained
- Ability to actively generate prospects and set appointments for new client opportunities
- Energetic, highly motivated team player who has strong interpersonal communication skills to interact with current and prospective clients and markets
- Team player who is driven by the opportunities of the competitive marketplace and by being on a winning team.
