About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads and oversees the servicing of financial consulting needs for employee benefit clients
- Utilizes industry knowledge and expertise to retain clients by providing financial, industry trends, and strategic insights guiding clients through impactful benefit changes
- Independently evaluates financial and utilization metrics for clients including but not limited to monthly financial reports, utilization metrics and benchmarks
- Assist in negotiating renewal proposals and preparing and recommending plan changes and/or alternative funding recommendations
- Develop reporting requirements and customizations in those reports
- Support Benefit Consultants in preparing requests for meetings including coverages & contracts
- Participate in prospective client finalist presentations to represent the Brown & Brown financial strategy
- Performing demographic analysis, claims reviews, and other projects on prospective clients
- Involvement in presentations at client functions and meetings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability from industry experience
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
- Strong knowledge of and relationship with vendors
- Microsoft Excel – Strong to expert level skills
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of and relationships with vendors
