Key responsibilities & impact

Managing claim files on behalf of clients for claims service business operations.
Handling and supervision of complex and litigated claims with authority for settlement.
Responsible for the investigation of coverage, liability, and damages.
Negotiating with claimants, attorneys, and other insurance carriers throughout the life of a claim.
Review lawsuits and formulate a plan of action with the assigned attorney.
Monitor progress and keep the insured informed.
Ensure all information is documented in the claim file.
Communicate with clients to discuss claims and recommend strategies to reduce overall exposure.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four years general claims experience OR eight years general insurance experience.
Must obtain AIC Designation and State License.
Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
Speech and hearing are sufficient for in-person and telephone communication on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
Vision sufficient for the use of a computer monitor.
Ability to sit at a desk on a constant basis for at least 7-10 hours per day.
