About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create a market plan with direction and assistance from Agency management.
  • Identify and locate prospects based upon the market plan.
  • Contact prospects by personal visits, over the telephone, and by direct mail.
  • Determine the prospect's needs and wants.
  • Qualify a prospect for eligibility and acceptability.
  • Prepare a proposal and quotation for client coverages.
  • Make an effective sales presentation utilizing numerous resources and materials.
  • Use time effectively towards obtaining goals, including evenings and off hours when prospecting is most effective.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • New York State Brokers License
  • Valid NYS Driver's license acceptable to our insurance car
  • College degree (preferred)
  • At least one to two years' experience in a sales capacity.
