About the role

  • Conducts actuarial studies as requested by client; not limited to analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes
  • Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance , and business to calculations in casualty insurance
  • Obtain, input , and summarize large databases for use in actuarial studies
  • Follow up as necessary with clients and managers to ensure studies are complete and delivered within deadlines
  • Organize and document work so that others may follow up as necessary and trace the flow of work performed to date
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or similar field
  • Must possess or be actively pursuing an Associate, Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation
  • Minimum of 0-5 years’ actuarial and/or insurance experience
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
