About the role
- Conducts actuarial studies as requested by client; not limited to analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes
- Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance , and business to calculations in casualty insurance
- Obtain, input , and summarize large databases for use in actuarial studies
- Follow up as necessary with clients and managers to ensure studies are complete and delivered within deadlines
- Organize and document work so that others may follow up as necessary and trace the flow of work performed to date
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or similar field
- Must possess or be actively pursuing an Associate, Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation
- Minimum of 0-5 years’ actuarial and/or insurance experience
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
