About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing various stages of the Vendor Lifecycle within the Technology Group and in alignment with BBH Policies and Standards.
  • Performing periodic reviews of vendor satisfaction with the Technology end-users.
  • Provide relationship management and negotiation for a portfolio of medium-spend Technology contracts.
  • Define contractual Service Level Agreements to measure Vendor Performance.
  • Develop and Document Exit Strategies as appropriate.
  • Key management interface with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with systems management team to determine the needs of the firm, as it pertains to vendors and vendor agreements.
  • Communicating to management and key stakeholders, the contract risks and exceptions to established standards.
  • Overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering; advance degree desirable.
  • Possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing technology projects, functions and with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with commercial contract negotiation, strategic sourcing practices, vendor dashboards, strategic cost reduction initiatives, and vendor quality turn around.
  • Strong strategic skills for vendor negotiations.
  • Track record of successful execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives and significant change projects preferred.
  • Understanding of market competitiveness, emerging trends and ability to provide global sourcing intelligence.
  • Creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team and others; ability to deliver persuasive and credible presentations to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Strong with managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.
