About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing various stages of the Vendor Lifecycle within the Technology Group and in alignment with BBH Policies and Standards.
- Performing periodic reviews of vendor satisfaction with the Technology end-users.
- Provide relationship management and negotiation for a portfolio of medium-spend Technology contracts.
- Define contractual Service Level Agreements to measure Vendor Performance.
- Develop and Document Exit Strategies as appropriate.
- Key management interface with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with systems management team to determine the needs of the firm, as it pertains to vendors and vendor agreements.
- Communicating to management and key stakeholders, the contract risks and exceptions to established standards.
- Overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring operational excellence.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering; advance degree desirable.
- Possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing technology projects, functions and with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with commercial contract negotiation, strategic sourcing practices, vendor dashboards, strategic cost reduction initiatives, and vendor quality turn around.
- Strong strategic skills for vendor negotiations.
- Track record of successful execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives and significant change projects preferred.
- Understanding of market competitiveness, emerging trends and ability to provide global sourcing intelligence.
- Creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team and others; ability to deliver persuasive and credible presentations to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong with managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.
