About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform general design coordination, technical and administrative support tasks.
- Support the design team, facilitating smooth operations in managing design deliverables, coordinating construction administration tasks and ensuring that deliverables meet the client's expectations.
- Complete routine assignments with the assistance of more experienced team members for more complex tasks.
- Maintain basic master lists and logs during design and construction.
- Coordinate specification development in Specification Development Platform (SpecLink).
- Coordinate design deliverable content and manage design deliverables production.
- Assist in developing design work breakdown structure and schedule.
- Help prepare and implement project and quality management plans, project documentation and health and safety plans.
- Coordinate and document basic QA/QC activities.
- Maintain project collaboration sites.
- Support Design Manager (DM) with Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement for QC and scope, schedule and budget development and tracking.
- Assist with subconsultant and teaming partner coordination.
- Coordinates design team meetings, communications.
- Prepare client presentation materials.
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of design coordination or related professional experience.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a professional office setting required.
- Experience in project coordination and construction specification standards (EJCDC) in the A&E and construction industry preferred.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Power Point, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam and ProjectWise skills are a plus.
- Anticipate project needs and have the ability to identify work assignments independently.
- Comfortable working directly with senior managers and technical staff.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment required.
- Willing to work occasional over-time.
