About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead funding processes to secure grants and external funding for clients’ capital projects
  • Advance funding programs with little oversight from senior funding group leadership
  • Use state and federal funding sources and agency relationships to identify funding opportunities
  • Understand client project scopes and recommend strategies to secure funding
  • Lead completion of funding applications and required documentation
  • Lead the funding team in tasks associated with applications and infrastructure funding
  • Adapt and execute additional assignments based on evolving needs
  • Mentor, guide, support, and share knowledge with less experienced team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 15 years of Strategic Funding or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced understanding of state and federal funding sources and programs
  • Relationships with key members of state and federal funding agencies
  • In-depth understanding of infrastructure project scope and components
  • Expertise in strategic planning processes
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state funding programs
  • Knowledge of municipal finance principles and practices
  • Ability to conduct competitor analysis and provide strategic market insights
  • Strong understanding of municipal finance, economics, and federal and state funding programs
