Key responsibilities & impact

Lead funding processes to secure grants and external funding for clients’ capital projects
Advance funding programs with little oversight from senior funding group leadership
Use state and federal funding sources and agency relationships to identify funding opportunities
Understand client project scopes and recommend strategies to secure funding
Lead completion of funding applications and required documentation
Lead the funding team in tasks associated with applications and infrastructure funding
Adapt and execute additional assignments based on evolving needs
Mentor, guide, support, and share knowledge with less experienced team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 15 years of Strategic Funding or related experience
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business management, or related field, or equivalent experience
Advanced understanding of state and federal funding sources and programs
Relationships with key members of state and federal funding agencies
In-depth understanding of infrastructure project scope and components
Expertise in strategic planning processes
Advanced knowledge of federal and state funding programs
Knowledge of municipal finance principles and practices
Ability to conduct competitor analysis and provide strategic market insights
Strong understanding of municipal finance, economics, and federal and state funding programs
