About the role
- Provide basic technical and administrative support to the design team as directed
- Assist in maintaining master lists and logs during design and construction
- Participate in specification development using Specification Development Platform (SpecLink)
- Coordinate design deliverable content and support design deliverables production
- Assist in developing design work breakdown structure and schedule
- Help prepare and implement project and quality management plans, documentation and health and safety plans
- Help coordinate and document QA/QC activities
- Support the maintenance of project collaboration sites
- Provide support for Design Manager (DM) with Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement for QC and scope, schedule and budget, development
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs
- May assist with subconsultants/teaming partner coordination
- May coordinate design team meetings, communications and presentation materials
- Understand client and other external stakeholder’s project standard
Requirements
- 0-2 years of design coordination or related professional experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in project coordination and construction specification standards/EJCDC in the A&E and construction industry preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Power Point, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam and ProjectWise skills are a plus
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize required
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment required
- Ability to work under multiple deadline pressures required
- Candidate should be skilled in problem solving
- Candidate should be willing to work occasional over-time
- An associate’s degree in business administration or relevant work experience is required
