About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide basic technical and administrative support to the design team as directed
  • Assist in maintaining master lists and logs during design and construction
  • Participate in specification development using Specification Development Platform (SpecLink)
  • Coordinate design deliverable content and support design deliverables production
  • Assist in developing design work breakdown structure and schedule
  • Help prepare and implement project and quality management plans, documentation and health and safety plans
  • Help coordinate and document QA/QC activities
  • Support the maintenance of project collaboration sites
  • Provide support for Design Manager (DM) with Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement for QC and scope, schedule and budget, development
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs
  • May assist with subconsultants/teaming partner coordination
  • May coordinate design team meetings, communications and presentation materials
  • Understand client and other external stakeholder’s project standard

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0-2 years of design coordination or related professional experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in project coordination and construction specification standards/EJCDC in the A&E and construction industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Power Point, Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam and ProjectWise skills are a plus
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize required
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment required
  • Ability to work under multiple deadline pressures required
  • Candidate should be skilled in problem solving
  • Candidate should be willing to work occasional over-time
  • An associate’s degree in business administration or relevant work experience is required
