About the role

  • developing master plan documents and supporting materials and spreadsheets
  • managing projects to achieve client goals within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
  • leading internal project teams and mentoring junior staff
  • coordinating with clients and serving as the main point of contact
  • evaluating pump station hydraulics
  • preparing comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and conceptual design documents
  • manipulating and analyzing data using spreadsheets, tools, and GIS
  • periodic travel to project and client sites for data collection and meetings
  • assisting in technical portion of proposal preparation by developing work approach, schedule and level of effort for modeling and planning project pursuits
  • participating in client development activities
  • contributing to BC’s master planning and modeling practice

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering required; M.S. degree preferred
  • PE license strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure hydraulics, operation, and master planning
  • Experience managing projects and leading project teams
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in water hydraulic model development and calibration, with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare effective written documents
  • Organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with sewer collection infrastructure modeling and planning is preferred
  • Proficiency with modeling, transient analyses, data management, and related software packages (e.g., InfoWater, InfoWorks, InfoSurge, WaterGEMS, WaterHAMMER, EPANET, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record required.
