Respiratory Therapist, Part Time, 12-Hour Night Shift, Benefit Eligible
Bronson HealthcareRespiratory Therapist providing respiratory care and serving as a resource in Bronson's patient care facilities. Collaborating with medical staff to manage cardiopulmonary abnormalities as a team member.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under general supervision from the Respiratory manager and/or Director, functions in patient care areas of the hospital
- Follows provider prescriptions and established policies and procedures
- Initiates and administers respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities and deficiencies
- Serves as a resource of knowledge to providers, nurses, and other hospital team members regarding advanced respiratory diagnosis and rehabilitation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS), Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials (RRT) required within 1 year of hire (if hired after 2004)
- Must attend courses through AHA: BLS, ACLS, PALS and AAP-NRP to become certified per site requirements
- All sites require BLS certification within 3 months of hire
- ACLS, PALS and NRP (site specific certifications) required within 1 year of date of hire for BLH and BSH only
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (certificate, diploma, AS degree) and 5 years of experience (Bachelor's preferred)
