About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all day-to-day team operations
  • Manage Commercial Insurance operations in the branch to achieve growth and profitability targets
  • Implement and monitor objectives related to commission revenue, policy count, accounts receivable, book-of-business quality, and expenses
  • Communicate, implement, and monitor strategies to attain goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Commercial Insurance Managers and Team Leads to ensure service and sales meet expected standards
  • Analyze and resolve quality, customer service, and sales problems with Branch Managers
  • Lead staffing and team leadership, motivate staff, and keep frontline employees informed of changes and new directions
  • Develop succession plans for key positions
  • Oversee team administration, including IT, payroll, and human-resource changes and management
  • Coach, guide, and provide performance feedback to direct reports
  • Facilitate continuous learning and development
  • Support branch marketing, advertising initiatives, and sales trade shows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–8 years or more of insurance industry experience
  • Extensive commercial lines experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • CIP, CRM, or CAIB designation preferred
  • Knowledge of Brokerage Management services and tools, including EPIC
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of internal and external customer needs
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment
