About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze workflows and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead process mapping, root cause analysis, and future-state design initiatives
- Develop and implement standardized procedures, best practices, and CI methodologies
- Monitor operational performance using key metrics and dashboards
- Lead initiatives from ideation through implementation and performance monitoring
- Partner with business leaders to prioritize improvements aligned with strategic objectives
- Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, workflow technologies, and AI-powered tools
- Conduct cost-benefit and impact analyses to validate and prioritize initiatives
- Engage and coach stakeholders at all levels through process changes and new ways of working
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and improvement meetings
- Synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations and support communication of progress, risks, and outcomes
- Build strong relationships and credibility across business units
- Establish project governance and reporting frameworks; track benefits realization
- Provide regular stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and opportunities
- Support the development of a Business Process Improvement Centre of Excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in business improvement, operational excellence, process improvement, business transformation, project management, or related roles
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a complex business environment
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies with Green or Black Belt; Certifications are assets
- Background in insurance, brokerage, financial services, or regulated industries an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience facilitating workshops and leading change initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated success influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Experience with large or multi-function change management, workflow automation, or AI-enabled solutions will be considered an asset
