About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Linux infrastructure with automation, security compliance, and operational excellence
Develop, maintain, and expand Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate operational tasks
Administer and optimize Ansible for enterprise-wide automation workflows at scale
Manage Red Hat Satellite for content lifecycle management, host registration, patch management, and provisioning
Leverage AI-assisted tools for operational efficiency and automation workflows
Build and maintain automation pipelines for security patching and compliance remediation
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain RHEL systems across various environments
Manage server infrastructure for high availability and performance
Establish OS baseline standards and configuration management policies
Collaborate with the Security team to remediate vulnerabilities and monitor CVEs.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on Linux systems engineering experience (mid-level) or 7+ years (senior level)
Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting
Proficiency with Ansible — writing and maintaining complex playbooks, roles, and modules
Hands-on experience with Ansible/Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Satellite — content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, remote execution, and patch management
Strong understanding of Linux security fundamentals — SELinux, firewalld, PAM, sudoers, auditd, and system hardening
Experience building and managing automated patching and OS update workflows
Solid understanding of networking concepts — TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, bonding/teaming, VLANs
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
