Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage).
Administer and optimize backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and storage lifecycle management.
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to support storage requirements.
Implement and maintain storage monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems.
Lead incident response and root cause analysis for storage-related issues.
Ensure compliance with data retention, governance, and security policies.
Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.
Evaluate and recommend new storage technologies and vendors.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership within the infrastructure team.
Requirements
5+ years of experience working in a large Storage Environment
Preferred Enterprise production hosting experience with the following platforms: Cisco/ Brocade director class and departmental FC switches; and their administrative tools.
DellEMC PMAX/ VMAX, Power Store, Power Scale/Isilon, ECS, XtremIO, GBB, Unity systems, Data Domain, VPLEX, Recover point, deployment, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting SAN Replication Technologies such as SRDF, Snapshot etc.
NetApp FAS deployment, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
HP 3PAR/Primera/Alletra storage deployment, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Strong Scripting Skills for automation
Experience in Hybrid or multi cloud environments
Knowledge of Data Governance and regulatory compliance
The ability to cooperate in a team environment is critical
An ability to think ‘outside of the box’ with a long-term view, when recommending solutions.
Organizational skills are required to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Supports recovery efforts in the event of systems failure or disaster.
Candidates must have the ability to motivate and lead others in a positive manner and ensure the group’s work gets done in a timely fashion.
Strong research initiative, a self-starter at locating relevant documentation, support and process assistance.
Must possess a solid understanding of software and/or hardware systems used in assigned area.
B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and on weekend rotational calls.
