About the role
- Oversee daily tax services operations, including compliance, reporting, filings, reconciliations, and client deliverables.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of all tax-related processes.
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain robust operational controls and governance frameworks.
- Partner with Tax, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Lead monitoring and support of all tax-related systems and operational applications.
- Ensure high system availability, reliability, and performance.
- Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation processes.
- Manage operational and technology-related projects, including regulatory changes, system implementations, process transformations, and automation initiatives.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations and project management team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership within tax services, financial services, or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of tax compliance processes and reporting cycles
- Experience overseeing application monitoring and production support environments
- Proven track record managing complex cross-functional projects
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
- Experience with ERP systems, tax engines, workflow tools, and monitoring platforms
- Strong knowledge of risk management and internal control frameworks.
