Key responsibilities & impact

Join a collaborative economics team
Use evidence and analysis to deepen understanding of smaller business finance and the impact of the Bank’s work
Support research and contribute insight
Help produce outputs that inform decision-making internally and externally
Analyze data and develop clear written insights
Create visualisations and contribute to appraisal, evaluation, and impact work
Work across varied projects producing briefings and research while building strong relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrable experience of applying microeconomics to real issues
Ability to choose suitable data and methods for analysis
Capability to produce analysis that stands up to scrutiny
Skill in explaining findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with econometric, mapping, or statistical packages (advantageous)
Experience of working with complex information
Ability to communicate insight in a structured way
Contributing positively within a team
Understanding of the Bank’s purpose and policy environment (valuable)
A degree is essential for this role
