Oversee the operational activities within Bristol Waste’s security services to ensure delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused service.
Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including Bristol City Council, ensuring service expectations and contractual obligations are met.
Drive strategic improvements and operational efficiencies within the security function.
Provide leadership, support, and development opportunities to the security team; manage performance and training.
Manage and coordinate all security operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, SIA ACS, NSI Gold, and company policies; conduct site inspections and audits.
Oversee deployment of static security, mobile patrols, and Cash-in-Transit services; oversee incident response procedures.
Monitor KPIs and SLAs; identify and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
Manage the security budget and financial performance; support expansion and identify business growth opportunities.
Maintain accreditation standards and support audit preparations; stay informed on legislative changes.
Requirements
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
High-level understanding of static security, mobile patrols, and Cash-in-Transit (CViT) operations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in security management systems and reporting software.
Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise tasks effectively.
Ensure all security personnel meet SIA licensing requirements (implied requirement to manage and ensure compliance).
