Security Engineer

• The Security & CViT Service Manager is responsible for the daily delivery and management of Static Security and Cash & Valuables in Transit (CViT) services.
• Ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with industry standards, and high levels of client satisfaction.
• Work closely with team leaders to maintain operational performance, support staff development, and contribute to the successful mobilisation of new contracts.
• Manage the daily operations of Static Security and CViT services, ensuring efficient deployment of staff and resources.
• Monitor performance against contractual requirements, KPIs, and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with BS7858, SIA ACS, NSI Gold, and CIT regulations.
• Provide leadership to Static Security and CViT team leaders, ensuring effective supervision of staff.

• Leads and executes the category management process in line with Strategic Sourcing methodology.
• Sets Category vision and strategy after full cross-functional review.
• Provides Category leadership to BWC.
• Develops and delivers Category specific targets / KPI’s and reports on a regular basis.
• Identifies and delivers Category non-financial value such as Sustainability and Innovation.
• Participates in or leads Category specific strategic sourcing events.
• Generates all category related / required insight and knowledge management.
• Delivers on ad-hoc basis operational procurement support when required.

• Oversee the operational activities within Bristol Waste’s security services to ensure delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused service.
• Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including Bristol City Council, ensuring service expectations and contractual obligations are met.
• Drive strategic improvements and operational efficiencies within the security function.
• Provide leadership, support, and development opportunities to the security team; manage performance and training.
• Manage and coordinate all security operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, SIA ACS, NSI Gold, and company policies; conduct site inspections and audits.
• Oversee deployment of static security, mobile patrols, and Cash-in-Transit services; oversee incident response procedures.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs; identify and mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
• Manage the security budget and financial performance; support expansion and identify business growth opportunities.
• Maintain accreditation standards and support audit preparations; stay informed on legislative changes.
