About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets compliantly
- Create demand for BMS medicines by presenting balanced clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans
- Use SOPHIA and other tools to derive insights and inform call plans
- Present approved scientific resources and publications accurately to healthcare providers
- Conduct in-office presentations and discuss product-related scientific information consistent with product labeling
- Organize external speaker programs, including speaker selection, scheduling, and logistics
- Maintain working expertise on emerging data for approved indications
- Engage Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries
- Collaborate with other field teams to provide the best customer experience
- Gather and share relevant customer insights internally
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies
- Travel in the field to visit external customers and attend meetings as directed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nurse
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians
- Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and customer influence networks
- Cardiovascular experience preferred
- Strong account management skills
- Superior selling competencies and proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a performance track record
- Ability to drive business results and cultivate customer credibility
- Understanding of the patient journey and ability to customize engagement and messages
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong learning mindset and passion for science
- Ability to analyze prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences, and clinical data
- Ability to segment HCPs based on preferences and relevant factors
- Ability to use CE^3 for insights and dynamic call planning

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence
- Must meet the Company's acceptable driving-risk requirements
- Ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients, business partners, and attend meetings as directed
