About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply therapeutic area expertise, risk assessment, and financial analysis to drive high-quality investment decisions at the opportunity and asset level
- Use quantitative models and processes, conduct workshops, and facilitate discussions as a strategic partner to the Global Program Lead
- Provide timely project and therapeutic-area updates at internal SOA meetings
- Use project management tools to track progress and achievements
- Implement decision analysis tools and processes, including influence maps and impact scoring cards
- Facilitate strategic workshops helping Global Program Teams define frameworks, assess options, and identify value drivers and trade-offs
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders influencing decisions and work prioritization
- Partner with the Portfolio Analytics Team to develop methodologies for therapeutic-area portfolio decisions
- Support ad hoc requests and portfolio-level activities
- Function as SOA lead within programs and perform activities independently
- Serve as a resource for the broader Business Development and Portfolio Analytics team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, economics, another quantitative discipline, or related field
- Minimum five years of related experience in spreadsheet modeling and analysis, forecasting, financial modeling, or valuation
- Experience with matrix stakeholder management
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Significant training or experience in management science or decision analysis supporting decision-making under uncertainty
- Knowledge of the drug development process preferred
