About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Individual will apply therapeutic area expertise, risk assessment (probability of technical success), and financial analysis to drive the organization toward high-quality investment decisions at the opportunity and asset level using quantitative models and processes, conducting workshops, and facilitating discussions as a strategic partner to the Global Program Lead (GPL).
  • Provide timely updates on projects and TA at internal SOA meetings and use project management tools to track progress and achievements.
  • Implement decision analysis tools and processes (e.g., influence maps, impact scoring cards) to support strategic decision-making in collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
  • Participate in the facilitation of strategic workshops to help GPTs define frameworks, assess options, and identify key value drivers and trade-offs.
  • Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with key stakeholders influencing decisions and prioritizing work.
  • Partnering within broader Portfolio Analytics Team in developing methodologies and approaches for contextualizing TA level portfolio decisions (e.g., portfolio prioritization, value baselining, long term financial plan, etc.).
  • Supporting ad hoc requests and portfolio level activities as needed.
  • Function as SOA leads within programs and perform job activities independently.
  • Serve as a resource for others in the broader Team of Business Development and Portfolio Analytics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum education of a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, economics, or other quantitative discipline or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in spreadsheet modeling & analysis, forecasting, financial modeling or valuation.
  • Experience with matrix stakeholder management and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Significant training or experience in management science or decision analysis to support decision making under uncertainty.
  • Knowledge of the drug development process is preferred.
