About the role

  • Lead the development, implementation, and refinement of the organization's capital planning framework and serve as Finance Global Process Owner for Capital Planning.
  • Forecast long-term capital requirements and prepare, present, and defend capital plans to senior executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Guide prioritization and selection of capital projects; evaluate feasibility, risk, and return on investment.
  • Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess capital investments; develop and maintain financial models projecting capital needs and funding sources.
  • Evaluate proposals for new capital expenditures and major projects, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and expansions; provide recommendations for optimal capital allocation.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor capital investment effectiveness; prepare comprehensive reports on capital utilization, project progress, and financial outcomes.
  • Identify and assess financial, operational, and strategic risks related to capital investments; develop mitigation strategies and scenario analyses.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Treasury, Corporate Development, Strategy, and Operations; serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and business unit leaders.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of finance professionals; champion process improvement, advanced analytics, digital tools and automation to improve forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in corporate finance, capital planning, financial analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale capital planning processes within complex organizations.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to executive audiences.
  • Expertise in leveraging advanced analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across functions and geographies.
