About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set technical direction for our frontend architecture, patterns, and tooling
Lead complex UI work in React and TypeScript
Push the Brisk Extension forward across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and beyond
Reverse-engineer external surfaces when the documented APIs don't go far enough
Stand up telemetry, instrumentation, and active monitoring
Own frontend performance
Champion accessibility as a baseline
Build and evolve the Brisk design system
Define our testing strategy across various layers
Mentor engineers and raise the bar on code review
Contribute to backend services in Python and Flask
Devise database persistence architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Hands-on experience with telemetry and observability
A track record of leading frontend performance work
Accessibility expertise
Deep React and TypeScript expertise
Fluency with browser APIs and the DOM
Strong CSS and layout fundamentals
Experience leading design systems and shared component libraries
A user-centered mindset and obsessive attention to detail
