About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide primarily independent therapy sessions for patients diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders
  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments
  • Provide occasional individual counseling sessions as appropriate
  • Assist with treatment planning and review progress toward treatment plan goals
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team
  • Carry and effectively manage a caseload of patients
  • Timely and comprehensively document treatment data in the electronic patient health record
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance requirements
  • Attend required onsite staff, supervision, multidisciplinary team, and quarterly in-service meetings
  • Provide training, onboarding, and mentorship support for new counselors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum independently licensed
  • Masters degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly empathetic and compassionate
  • Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients
  • Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Technologically capable and comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation
  • Familiarity with MS Office software (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.) preferred
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired
  • Prior experience with harm reduction a plus
