About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide medical services in collaboration with a licensed physician
  • Implement treatment plans in coordination with the supervising physician
  • Inform patients about the medical components of their treatment
  • Mentor and conduct professional development activities in medical subjects relevant to patient treatment
  • Participate in required trainings
  • Develop and present training content on medical topics relevant to substance use disorders and general health practices
  • Ensure implementation of medical quality health standards for patients and employees

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospitals involved in patient treatment
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, seminars, and training
  • Keep updated on drug abuse and treatment information
  • Develop professional, helpful, and effective relationships with patients, team members, and constituents
  • Ensure the treatment center meets accreditation standards related to medical, health, and safety issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Active state licensure (FNP/APRN/CNP/PMHNP)
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred, with at least 1 year of experience in addiction treatment setting preferred
  • D.E.A licensure as required by BrightView
  • Perform medical services within the scope of education, training, and expertise
  • Basic understanding of drug/alcohol abuse and addiction
  • Compliance with federal, state, local, and accrediting agency requirements and trainings
